Government employees : They contribute too - a lot most times

The current US national conversation about deficits has been allowed to swing to far against government employees everywhere, but more so against employees of the federal government. The talk of the town, propounded by people on the political right, but condoned by those of the political left, is that government employees do not contribute anything positive to the nation or the economy. But let us look at who constitute government employees:


  1. Department of Defense - members of the US military, civilian support for the US military, intelligence agency personnel.
  2. Department of Energy - Scientist working a very broad variety of
