Google Voice Help : Where went the quality?

Google Voice was launched with much funfare and pomp a couple of years ago, and I got a line. In time, I encouraged others to do the same, and gradually transitioned a great number of my phone calls ; domestic and international to Google Voice. I also have a Verizon wireless phone. Initialy, all was well. Call quality was mostly clear, at least for all local calls, and international call quality was mostly bearable, or so I thought. The cost per minute for international calls while cheaper than Verizon wireless costs (even with their international plan), it was comparable with many other services including Skype and Net2Phone - two of my other favorites.  On an android phone, Google Voice seems even more appealing, given the deep integration with the phone platform. Well that was the case until I began to hear complaints. People call me and could never get through. And for such calls, I never got any indication of the calls.

See Roger Cohen's Iran Without Nuke s Unfortunately Iranian NW is not the only foreign policy bogey man. US foreign policy debate since the end of the Berlin Wall (or perhaps earlier) has been fraught with bogey men - This is President's Eisenhower's reasoning when warning the nation to beware of the military industrial complex. WAT,  WMD in Iraq, etc are all examples of mis-directed attention. The news from North Africa and the Middle East is beginning to reveal how this nation has been duped, and has allowed itself to be duped into mis-adventures.... Hopefully, this president will learn these important lessons of history and continue the hard work of re-investing at home. There is an old saying " Charity begins at home..." Republicans angling for more wars and less health should be schooled on this basic wisdom
